Coaching sessions take place weekday evenings during term time Wolverhampton Grammar School.

Our Weekly Football Coaching Sessions at Wolverhampton Grammar School are designed for children aged 4- 14 years and follow the latest FA England Football Future Fit approach to youth development.
Players will be grouped into appropriate age bands to ensure an enjoyable, age-specific learning environment focused on skill development, game understanding, and enjoyment.
Session Format by School Year Group
Reception, Year 1 & Year 2
Fun-based learning through engaging games, fundamental ball skills, and small-sided 3v3 matches.
Year 3 & Year 4
Continued technical development with a focus on teamwork, decision-making, and 5v5 game formats.
Year 5, Year 6, Year 7 and Year 8
Advanced skill development, game-related coaching, tactical understanding, plus 7v7 matches and Futsal activities.
Places are limited and early booking is recommended.
Girls and boys of all abilities who want to learn and practise football skills. Regular weekly coaching develops players, improves confidence and helps them to reach their potential. Sessions are available for children in Reception up to year 8 at school (age 4 to 14 year)
We need to know how many players will be attending a session; block booking is now required each half term and will vary with the number of weeks per half term. From September 2026: £5.00 per one hour session
Children should arrive wearing trainers and comfortable clothing e.g. t-shirt and shorts/jogging bottoms or football strip. They will need to bring a non-fizzy drink.
For football sessions, football boots may be worn, if they have them, dependent upon daylight and suitable weather. Goalkeepers will need gloves & Shin pads are essential for all participants attending football or goalkeeping sessions
