Sports coaching services for schools in Wolverhampton
Soccer Coaching 2000 has provided a comprehensive coaching service to primary schools in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas since 1999.
We provide physical education, school sport, physical activity and out of school hours activities, including holiday camps.
Our 38 full-time sports coaches are employees of the Company enabling us to deliver a completely reliable and committed service.
Coaches have a variety of coaching qualifications, these include: Level 5 in Primary School Physical Education Specialism Course, Level 4 Sports Coach, Level 3 Diploma in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education and School Sports, and our Apprentice Coaches all work towards completing the Level 2 Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship
The Association for Physical Education (AfPE) are now piloting the new Level 5 Primary School Physical Education Specialism Course. With only 20 spaces nationally, we have 2 coaches who are currently participating in the pilot course. Our aim is to have all our lead coaches complete the new Level 5 by 2029.
We are able to bring our years of experience in the field to the mentoring, monitoring and development of our coaches.
To ensure that our delivery meets the requirements and expectations of our schools, we have produced a quality evaluation form for them to use, and Senior Coaches maintain regular contact to facilitate feedback.

The scheme is designed to recognise high quality providers who support Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity.
Soccer Coaching 2000 received the Outstanding Contribution Award from ConnectEd Partnership Wolverhampton.

The award recognised the support provided to Wolverhampton Schools during the last year throughout the pandemic and the lockdown. We continued to support key worker children within the school day and on holiday camps using the Rainbow Hour resource. Free online sessions were also provided for the FA Wildcat girls football and PANNA skills programmes.
During After School, Lunchtime, Breakfast and Holiday camps, we deliver Football coaching (including FUTSAL & PANNA), Team training, Cool Kids, Multi Skills, Dodgeball, Tri-Golf, Arrows Archery, Ultimate Frisbee, T1 Rugby, Badminton, Tennis, Volleyball, Kwik Cricket, Quicksticks Hockey and playground games. Interested Head Teachers should contact us to arrange a meeting.
To cover PPA time, Wolverhampton schools started to employ us in September 2004. Coaches have knowledge and experience of delivering Physical Education lessons at Key Stage 1 and 2. Coaches can also provide CPD and Team Teaching for school teaching staff. Interested Head Teachers should contact us to arrange a meeting.
Please note that the Association for Physical Education (afPE) and the Secretary of State does not consider employing coaches or specialist teachers to cover PPA as a sustainable and effective use of the Primary and PE Sport Premium.
Physical Education Planning
Soccer Coaching 2000 Limited is now using Complete PE’s full curriculum planning and resources to support the delivery of high-quality Physical
Education lessons. These resources will be used across all PPA lessons and can also support team teaching and CPD, tailored to the bespoke needs of each school.
Complete PE is an Association for Physical Education (afPE) approved curriculum resource, providing high-quality PE planning and teaching materials through an interactive online platform. Its flexible unit library allows schools to select curriculum content that best suits their individual setting.
Every lesson includes Learning Cards and Adaptive PE cards, ensuring all pupils are fully included and supported to succeed in PE. The curriculum is underpinned by a physical literacy informed approach, promoting holistic outcomes across the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional domains of learning.
