SCHOOLS TESTIMONIALS

Natalie Shirley, Inclusion Facilitator, Tettenhall Wood School
I am writing to thank you for joining us for our multi skills/activity day last week and for leading fantastic multi skills workshops throughout the day to such a varied group of pupils. From the feedback I have had from staff, I believe "ALL" of our pupils who took part benefited enormously from the work you did with them. Even the pupils who would normally struggle to participate joined in and had lots of fun and for that we are grateful!
We look forward to seeing you again very soon for future events!

Helen Morris Head Teacher, St Thomas’ CE Primary School, Wolverhampton

Soccer 2000 have been running an after-school coaching session at Saint Thomas’ since March 2000.

I have always found them to be very well organised, professional in their approach to schools and well-motivated.

The coaches who work with groups of children and meet with parents are fully informed about their rules. They form good relationships with children.

Since September 2004 we have also used Soccer 2000 for PE Lessons at Keystage 2. This arrangement allows staff non-contact time while Soccer 2000 coaches work with groups of children on a range of sporting activities e.g. tag rugby, netball, football, cricket etc. Staff plan lessons and Soccer 2000 coaches assess children on a range of skills and report back to staff. The arrangement works very well for the school staff and children thoroughly enjoy their lessons.

I have recommended Soccer 2000 to many Wolverhampton Head teachers in the past and would not hesitate to do so again in the future. We were so pleased with the after-school football club we extended provision to include two lunchtime clubs.

Mrs W Wozmirska, Head Teacher, St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School, Wolverhampton

With the onset of PPA time for staff as part of the Workforce Reform Initiative, Soccer 2000 coaches were invited into St. Patrick’s Primary School to deliver Games lessons from Years 2 to 6.

Coaches have worked closely alongside the school’s PE Co-ordinators to plan lessons and to agree Assessment procedures. High quality games are delivered to pupils who work enthusiastically under the supervision of Soccer 2000 staff.

At a recent Ofsted Inspection (June 2005) Inspectors reported on the effective use of our external coaches. “The teaching by specialised “coaches” was very good. Learning unfolded at a hectic pace and skills were built on according to the needs of different ability groupings. Pupils were challenged to devise activities using a wide range of small apparatus.”

Wendy Large, Head Teacher,  Christ Church (C of E) Infant School, Wolverhampton

Soccer Coaching 2000 have provided a football club for our Year 1 and 2 children for several years now. The children thoroughly enjoy the sessions and get a lot out of them. Soccer Coaching 2000 are extremely professional, reliable and flexible to the needs of our school, especially our limited space. Their organisation of the sessions is excellent; they are a pleasure to have on site!

Tish Keech, Head Teacher, Castlecroft Primary School, Wolverhampton
At Castlecroft, we have been working with Soccer Coaching 2000 for five years. They run two After School Clubs for children aged 6 to 11 and also run a lunch-time club training our School Football Squad. In addition to this they have run Curriculum sessions for all children from Reception through to Year 6. In that time we have worked with a number of coaches and are consistently impressed by the quality of coaching. The rigorous recruitment strategies they use and the quality training they receive, provide us with a bank of excellent coaches. Their skill levels are high and their relationships with children, staff and parents, superb. They also provide us with excellent role models. Soccer Coaching 2000 is now a vital part of our PE provision for children at Castlecroft. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
