More than a decade of coaching sport in schools. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| SOCCER COACHING 2000 has a long-standing record of professionalism and reliability. Having provided a coaching service to primary schools since February 1999, we have an organisation where coaches confidently supply a full range of services to schools in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, South Staffs and Shropshire. Coaches and Assistant Coaches are all full time employees of Soccer Coaching 2000 Limited. This makes a huge difference to the level of service that can be guaranteed, in terms of reliability and coaches’ commitment to their work. Soccer Coaching 2000 has created a career structure for coaches – see About Us. All Coaches and Assistant Coaches are screened through the Criminal Records Bureau (enhanced disclosure). All Coaches have appropriate F. A. qualifications. Those leading sessions have a minimum 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football. They work in pairs and many assisting coaches also have the Level 2 Certificate, and others have Level 1. All coaching staff participate in regular training with the F.A., including Child Protection and best practice workshops and Emergency Aid training. Local Education authorities and Sports Coach UK also deliver courses. Weekly on the job training is ongoing and delivered by Wayne Clark, Director of Coaching. Coaches have attended a variety of courses including Sports Coach UK workshops. Out of school hours clubs are available for Multi-Skills, TRI-GOLF and Football (including FUTSAL). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Mentoring and monitoring are vital aspects of our service. Directors Wayne Clark and Rosemary Jackson monitor the coaches’ performance and schools’ satisfaction throughout the year. We are always available and quick to respond to any requests or concerns. We are able to bring our years’ of experience in the field to our weekly training sessions with our coaching staff and offer a high level of support to them in their development. Our Approach In line with currrent recommendations we have adapted the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) approach in all our coaching. LTAD is intended to produce a long-term approach to maximising individual potential and involvement in sport. A central theme of LTAD is the importance of having high-quality Coaches working with children during the early stages of their involvement. We recognise that some children who attend our courses may go on to become elite performers in their chosen sport, though at this stage in their young lives our aim is to create a positive, dynamic and rewarding environment in order to encourage participation and develop an early love of sport. Football coaching sessions are available before the school day, lunchtime and after school. Wayne is happy to visit school to discuss any aspect of our coaching. Please contact us. Games lessons / PPA time following National Curriculum necessitated additional ongoing training, which commenced during Summer 2004. To cover PPA time several Wolverhampton schools started to employ us in September 2004. While some coaches have qualifications in sports such as Basketball, Cricket and Tag Rugby, they all now have a thorough knowledge of delivering many sports within National Curriculum at Key Stage 1 and 2. Interested Head Teachers should contact Wayne on 07803 908410 to arrange a meeting. He will discuss your requirements and our availability. Our timetable is very busy but we always do our best to accommodate new requests from schools. We are constantly training coaches for the future and newly qualified coaches work with those who have more experience for a period of time. Please do not hesitate to contact us. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
